r.i.p. bobby2
i took bobby2 to the spiderlab today to show the spidey professor, who has just come back from overseas. i was prepared to leave bobby2 behind for the professor to study in detail. jeremy has also mentioned to me before that they do put spideys to eternal rest to do proper identification. so it was already in the back of my head but i guess it didn't surface until dr li said to jeremy, "i'm gonna kill it". :o

goodbye bobby2! you have been sacrificed for the sake of finding out bobby's identity.

kinda sad but i guess i can't keep two bobbies anyway. keeping one is already tricky enough. he's quite a picky eater! somemore bobby2 is incy-wincier and it's so hard to find meals of the right size.

little comma has grown! he's a bracket now, long arms and all. :) dr li says he's still a baby and jeremy will raise him some more till they can identify him.

meanwhile, jeremy gave me four takeaway mozzies for bobby to munch on. i managed to topple two into the jar, the other two refused to budge. so i did what jeremy told me to - pop them in the freezer for a little while. the thing is, i guess my freezer is damn cold. i'm not sure if the mozzies are going to wake up. it doesn't look like it. :p

on the munster front, she's finally taking a break from snaffling everything that moves in her jar. jeremy says she might be laying spideybaby eggs soon, since she's getting SOOOO FETT. i'm gonna be a spideygranny! not sure what my mother thinks about being a spideygreatgranny, but i don't think she'll be thrilled... especially when them grandkids are all over the house! little munsters!

i think they're gonna be really cute, but i also kinda hope she's just fat from all that eating. 20 to 30 grandkids is a little overwhelming, especially when they're small enough to escape through the air-vents!

a little fruit fly i caught for her supper last night is still happily flying around her jar. i hope this means she's stuffed full from binging, which may mean she's not preggers? :p

rest in peace, bobby2! i'm sorry you had to be sacrificed. you will always be remembered!
feelin': sada little sad

when i was about 12 i caught a wolf spider carrying an egg mass. i put her in a terrarium (or is it him? i think it's him) -- about a week later, i had 100 grandchildren. i didn't have a camera back then. how sad.

thanks HH! :)

it's so amazing when i think about it, such a tiny little thing is also a life. and we crush out so many lives a day without realising it. if there is such a thing as past and present life, i wonder if all the bad/evil peeps become insects in their next life?

hehehe, i only kill 2 types of insects; cockroaches cuz my mom will scream for me and spiders. :P

you should be killing mozzies and cockroaches! because they bring harm to people. spiders don't hurt humans unless you happen to be pressing on them by accident.

has anyone ever told you that killing spiders is bad luck? :)

OOOOooo. dont know lei. tell me more!
JV: huhdrag0nette on July 28th, 2007 11:25 am (UTC)
i don't know the details, but my galpal told me not to kill spiders because it's bad luck... :p that's all i know! what's more, she's not a spider-lover, so it's not because she wants to protect them.
