adventures in a fitting room

More fitting room episodes! :)

First item, rejected for overtly large flutter sleeves...

It was very comfy but not $195 kind of comfy... :) From Guess, if anyone is interested!

Second stop was Pull & Bear. I had this ensemble on hold for the longest time and finally managed to go pick them up. :)

Love the tiny cardi pockets and the butterfly embroidery. :)

Tried a cotton jacket...

Not bad huh? Will chew on it for now.

This next one was cute on the hanger but the cut was a failure...

And lastly, this cap had to come home with me!

Masticate no further! They all make of you a tube shape and not a cute little lipstick liner tube, we're really talking more of a toilet paper core or pipe insulater.

The first top might be nice (but I would prefer to see it navy with white embroidery) but only if you pair it with something skinny on bottom - leggings, cigarette-leg jeans etc.

The cardi is the closest to cute, but ditch the jacket and get yourself something with seaming.

These are nice

And wouldn't this Nanette Lepore look awesome on you!

That nanette coat is awesome! I actually really want a good, plain peacoat. :) Also love coats with the tie belts like the first one, but have not found the perfect one yet.

I have a big loot of coats coming soon from Taiwan so I will post when they do... I have stock/model pictures but I think it'll be more fun to post a comparison with the actual items. I really hope they're gonna fit! :D

Oh... And I simply cannot do skinny pants of any sort. My legs are too short - I have a long torso. I only wear pants/jeans which are bootcut, bell bottom, or wide-legged! And no flat shoes, of course. :D

I'm not sure that you cannot wear cigarette-leg jeans. If you get a fit that sits at your waist (true waist) and wear a top or jacket that is out you may find that it gives the illusion that you have uber long legs and it will emphasize your petitiness!

Go High Sky High
Especially if you are wearing the cigarette pants with heels!

Re: Go High Sky High
Teehee! Maybe it was the era I grew up in... I just cannot bring myself to wear true waisted bottoms! :D The highest I could ever go would be just below the waist, maybe halfway up from the hip.

In addition to my legs being short, they are also really skinny. I call them my chopstick legs. :D I have started on a regime to beef them up though, so the day might come that I might actually be comfortable wearing skinny pants again (last time I did, I was 15 and legs were nicely toned from all the sporting stuff that 15 year olds do).

Maybe I just don't like myself in the skinny pants look... Seriously, not until I manage to add some muscle and tone to my legs again, since growing taller is not possible. It's a personal preference. I believe it has something to do with the way pants fit on calves that don't fill out enough, giving an outline of bow-legs. :)

Strangely though, I am fine with wearing shorts and skirts. I don't really understand myself on that one! :)
