bad seafood, good cake

After a movie date, we had the Seafood Platter for 2 at the Queen and Mangosteen, Vivocity. Wow, it was quite terrible. Photographed nicely though!

Worst scampi I have ever tasted. Prawns were just below average. Mussels were average. Smoked salmon was... Well, normal smoked salmon. Hard to go wrong with that. There was a small dollop of crab paste on a miserable bed of greens. The crab paste tasted quite interesting but the portion was way too small and I didn't like the choice of greens they used.

Anyhow, the place was pretty and the view was nice. You can sit semi-outdoors and the vibe was quite casual chic.

We took a walk to Sentosa. Wow... I didn't know they did so much upgrading on the bridge. It's rather nice to walk across now.

We had a wander at Resort World and saw some lollipop trees...

I <3 lollipop trees.

Then we headed back to the city for dessert... Ended up at Black Coffee Dessert Bar, TripleOne, for tea and a slice of red velvet cake.

The cake was very good! Not too sweet, just rich enough, not too dense, and the cream cheese was divine! Not bad at all.
