I love weekday lunches with Kate. It's nice to have friends with flexible schedules!

It was a very hot and sunny day! The cafe has glass walls that provide a magnificent view. Interior is simple and cosy. Very nice for dates or ketchups with girlfriends!

I had a rather nice Strawberry Kiwi Surprise...

We shared a calamari appetiser which was quite nicely done - very crunchy and the squid texture was good.

I had the Aglio Olio (I've been in aglio olio mood since Han's) with the option to add tiger prawns. $5 for two prawns seemed a little exorbitant but thankfully the prawns were fresh and juicy. Pasta was very nicely al dente but I forgot to tell them to go easy on the chili so it was a tad spicy.

Even though my choices turned out quite well, Kate's set lunch was rather disappointing. Portions were minuscule. I've read similar comments on the web about this, so it's worth taking note not to order the sets at this eatery but try the ala carte items instead.
