scampered to town for dinner with V and audrey in the evening. we ended up at indochine @ wisma because that sun & moon place in wheelock was too crowded, with a waiting time of at least half an hour.
wonder if my little pentax gets nervous in the presence of his previous owner - he flat refused to snap pics of our food properly. tsk tsk. could not get ONE good photo of our food. so all i can do is just a verbal (written?) description. i jumped in with V's choice of dry beef noodles, while aud decided to have the dry barbecued chicken noodles. plus an extra order of chicken wings, upon V's recommendation.
both noodles were pretty good, although the portions were kinda small. each plate was half filled with vegetables (very healthy, yes. but... ). noodles were absolutely fabulous with a little drizzle of the thai chilli sauce provided - very smooth and the texture was perfect. grilled beef was very savoury, and i must say this is the first time i had meat left after i'd finished the noodles. maybe noodles are more valuable than meat over here?
chicken wings were coated with a very tasty, crispy batter, but the flesh inside was tough. V reckons they used to be a lot better. perhaps they have changed chicken suppliers.
after-dinner drinkies and pool @ sarge's pub. saw a ton of familiar faces, and t'was great to ketchup. :)
it must have been almost 1am before i managed to make my way to barnaby's to meet my girls and the extended circle. ugur made us evil drinks and i'm still suffering from the after-effects today. i will not be drinking vodka on the same night as red wine ever again. :P
can't remember what time i got home, but the hangover started in the cab.
and all of today, my nose has been naughty again. i'm starting to think i've become allergic to my room. just popped some super-flu-meds... i guess i'm having a very early night, when the drugs kick in. i'll probably K.O. by 8pm.
